David Morse
President
David’s career in the real estate development industry spans over 2 decades. Working for two national retailers early in his career ingrained within him a retailer’s perspective on store operations, development, and delivery. This perspective has instilled a sensitivity to clients’ needs that has helped shape him as an effective retail developer.
Over the course of his career, David developed for some of the most competitive national and regional concepts (below). He worked both within their systems and helped create multi-unit development programs from scratch.
Before founding Tartan Real Estate Development Solutions (Tartan), David held a senior leadership position with a national real estate development company. He recently served as the Managing Director for its west coast division. Under his leadership, he found and grew this division into one of the largest single-tenant retail developers in the west. Prior to that, he served as the company's Executive Vice President/Chief Development Officer heading up its national development and construction operations.
Now with Tartan, David brings the highest level of service to an ever-changing real estate development environment.
David holds a BA in Economics from Emory University. He serves or has served in leadership positions in several industry and community organizations: ICSC, USGBC - Gulf Coast Chapter Board Member, ULI - Seattle Program Committee Co-Chair, Davis Sunrise Rotary President, Davis Downtown Business Association - Past Board Member.
